The espadrille
MADE IN FRANCE

All our espadrilles are made in a family workshop in Mauléon, capital of Soule in the Basque Country. From the cutting of the canvas to the gluing to the sewing of the label, each step is carried out in this workshop by passionate craftsmen. Perpetuating an ancestral tradition, the manufacture of our espadrilles is done in the respect of the craft know-how. Created more than 150 years ago, this workshop on a human scale demonstrates great mastery of all the stages in the assembly of espadrilles. Carefully selected, our materials are fully in line with a responsible approach: recycled cotton for our plain espadrilles, vegetable ink to dye our canvas, natural rope for all our insoles and recycled rubber for the outer part. We have also chosen to use Italian stitching in nylon thread for all our products to give them greater strength and durability. "The process of making a pair of espadrilles is 14 steps long.

Want to add some colour to your feet? This summer, Omy and Payote have teamed up for the time of an espadrille to offer you a model that celebrates summer. Created from the meeting of Parisian creativity and southern enthusiasm, this collaboration mixes know-how and originality in a very summery spirit. The two French brands immediately hit it off. On the one hand, Omy, the Parisian label that entertains children and adults through graphic and playful products, and on the other, Payote, the brand of espadrilles made in France that gives a fresh look to this ancestral product. The result: two worlds that subtly combine to share the best of their know-how with you.

TheOmy x Payote espadrille reinterprets the rope shoe from an innovative angle: the canvas of this model can be fully coloured. Designed in Paris in Omy's Parisian studio, the print of this collab leaves room for your imagination. Inspired by our sweetest memories, it invites the world of sunny southern holidays to your feet. On an immaculate white background, we find all the emblematic elements of the beautiful season.

The pairing of

Parasols, surfboards, palm trees, all these motifs can be personalised with fabric markers. This collab' invites parents and children to get closer together for a playful moment to spend in conviviality. Available in sizes 28 to 47, this model brings together young and old through their love for an ancestral product emblematic of the Mediterranean art of living.

TheOmy x Payote espadrille respects the DNA of both brands thanks to local manufacturing in the heart of the Basque Country. Made in a family workshop that has been operating for 150 years, it perpetuates French know-how and supports the local economy. To recall this French manufacturing, we have sewn a tricolour border on the inside of the canvas. A natural rope sole has been chosen to offer you the comfort of noble and comfortable materials.
